Midsomer Norton Leisure Centre

Hours of work – Flexible, from 2.5 up to 15 hours per week. Permanent weekly hours and casual opportunities covering staff leave and sickness. Multiple opportunities.

Hourly rate of pay – £17 per hour for Level 2 qualified teachers (preferred). £11.90 per hour for Level 1 qualified teachers.

We are looking for Swimming Teachers that ideally hold a Level 2 qualification with Swim England, though we also welcome level 1 teachers with a view to progress.

Successful candidates must be passionate about learning to swim and have a focus on their own continued personal development. They will work within our busy programme and must be able to work with all abilities, delivering popular and productive sessions. Previous experience of teaching is desirable but not essential – they must be willing to teach from the side and ideally from in the water at certain stages too.

These roles offer a selection of temporary and permanent hours – weekdays within 9 – 2.30pm for Ducklings and Schools, 3.30 – 6.30pm running Learn to Swim (LTS) sessions and at weekends, Saturday mornings, 8 – 12pm and Sunday mornings, 9 – 10am, also LTS.

We are happy to consider applicants who just want infrequent cover, can do just one session specifically, as well as those who are looking to do multiple sessions for us, so we can build quite a bespoke pattern for applicants. These roles would also offer overtime opportunities covering holiday and sickness absences as they arise.

The position will be subject to a disclosure check. For more information on the role or to apply, please click here to download an application form and email this or your CV to pcracknell@dragonflyleisure.co.uk
