Coming Soon!!

We are delighted to announce the introduction of our new ELEVATE gym to our community, a unique new facility including EGYM equipment that will provide an alternative environment to the usual “high-energy” gym. This calm, results-driven space is being developed at Midsomer Norton Leisure Centre over the winter, ready to open in the New Year.

EGYM uses the latest technology and software to create personalised, non-invasive workouts that adapt to every user. Designed to lower bio-age, increase mobility, build strength, and improve overall wellbeing, EGYM combines seamlessly with our “Inbody” system to make workouts fully bespoke. Even the equipment adapts to each member’s individual measurements; no more seat height adjustments needed!

We’ve also listened to member feedback and will be introducing a new dry changing space, separate from the pool and wet change. This unisex, adult-only facility will feature private cubicle changing areas with showers, vanity spaces, and lockers, providing a true “health club” feel to your visit.

As a charity, our overarching objective is to provide facilities and activities that give more local people the opportunity to be active. Following a recent review, it was clear that Studios 2 and 3 at Midsomer Norton were underutilised. By reimagining these spaces, we can ensure they deliver far greater benefit to the community. This exciting and positive development may bring some changes for a few of our users.

To make room for Elevate and the new dry change:

  • Ride classes will move permanently to Writhlington from 13th October, allowing us to increase class capacity by around 15%, giving indoor cyclists more chances to book into their favourite sessions.

  • Some Dance lessons will also move, and those directly affected will be contacted individually. Studio 1 has just had a world-leading Harlequin sprung floor installed, ensuring it can accommodate additional dance and Group Workout classes.

  • The Toning Suite will relocate to the new Elevate gym area. While there may be some short-term disruption during the transition, we’ll work hard to keep this to a minimum.

These exciting developments are designed to enhance our member experience and provide more opportunities for people to be active, helping us to deliver on our mission of keeping more people, more active, more often.

Timeline

The toning suite will be closed from Monday, 13th October. This will be converted to a unisex adult-only village-style dry changing room.

Studio 2 and 3 will be closed from Saturday 11th October. This space will be converted into our new Elevate gym over two floors.

Both facilities will be open from Monday, 2nd February 2026.
