The following operating procedures are based on current government and national governing body guidance.
We await guidance from the following national governing bodies – gymnastics, trampoline, swimming and climbing.
We will update this page on a sport by sport basis following publication of the relevant guidance.
Please note the following indoor activities are subject to further easing of lockdown measures which will permit the re-opening of these facilities.
General Information – the following general information will relate to all lessons
To limit the use of our toilet facilities on-site we would ask parents to ensure children use the toilet before leaving home. All doors including toilet entrance doors (except for toilet cubicle doors) will be propped open to minimise hand contact. Children will be asked to sanitise their hands when re-entering an activity space.
Lesson occupancy will be reduced to ensure 2m social distancing between attendees.
Class content will be adapted to ensure 2m social distancing is always maintained.
There will be a minimum of 10 minutes between classes to allow attendees to exit and enter safely. We would politely ask all parents to drop off and collect their children promptly.
Clear instructions will be given at the start of each lesson regarding social distancing and other control measures.
Dance attendees will be required to enter via the studio reception only. Entry to our studios will not be permitted via main reception.
Parents and children will be required to sanitise their hands and take their temperature (via the wall mounted contactless self-service thermometer) prior to entry.
Parents/guardians will be required to wait with their child until the dance teacher arrives. The teacher will then escort the group (including the supervising adult) to the dance studio.
Parents / Guardians will then be asked to leave the studio via the external fire exit doors to wait in their cars until the end of the lesson.
The dance teacher will explain the collection procedure on drop-off.
Lessons will take place on both our outdoor courts from w/c 6th July. Those on programme will be contacted by email with further information including instructions on how to book.
Please refer to the court bookings page regarding access / egress and use of equipment.
Parents/guardians (1 parent / guardian only) MUST supervise their children when entering the outdoor tennis courts or indoor tennis centre and follow directional signage / instructions from their coach.
Children / Players will need to provide their own racket.
Where possible the coach will be the only one touching the tennis balls with players asked to use their feet / racket to return them.
Where players need to handle balls (when serving for example) then extra care must be taken for players not to touch their faces until their hands have been sanitised.
Hand sanitiser will be available, but we would also ask for players to bring their own as this will allow them to sanitise more frequently.
Football lessons will resume on our outdoor AGP from w/c 6th July with a view to moving them back to our sports once safe to do so. Those on programme will be contacted by email with further information including instructions on how to book.
Parents / Guardians (1 per child) will be required to escort their child to and from the AGP.
Parents / Guardians will be able to spectate if social distancing can be maintained. If not, parents will need to wait in their cars.
The coach will be the only person handling balls / equipment. Children will be instructed not to touch these with their hands.
Ratios will reflect current government and FA guidance – maximum of 6 including the coach.
