The following operating procedures are based on current government guidance at the time of publishing (June 2020).

General

Public Health England (PHE) or equivalent posters will be on display informing customers and staff of social distancing and cleanliness/hygiene protocols throughout the facility.

Anyone showing signs of COVID-19 (temperature, cough and loss of smell or taste), or anyone known to have been in contact with anyone infected (as notified by a government contact tracer) will be asked to stay at home and follow Government guidelines.

We will comply with any health designation documentation that the Government implements going forward.

Hand wipes/sanitisers will be on offer (or people will be directed to where they can clean their hands). ALL staff and customers will be required to sanitise their hands when entering our facilities. All gels and wipes used are those certified to kill the coronavirus.

Customers will be required to have their temperature checked when entering our buildings via a wall mounted contactless, self-service infrared thermometer.

Social distancing posters and floor markings will be in place throughout our facilities.

Only customers with pre-booked activities will be permitted to enter our facilities.

We will not accept face to face bookings at reception. All activity bookings will need to be made via our app or online booking platform. Please email us at enquiries@dragonflyleisure.co.uk or message us on our facebook page if you need any assistance.

Face masks are not be mandatory.

It is down to the individual customer to take reasonable personal responsibility when taking part in physical activity.

Doors will be propped open or foot plates attached to avoid unnecessary contact.

One-way systems (where possible) will be introduced to avoid the need for customers to pass each other. Where this isn’t possible staff will manage entry and egress to ensure social distancing is maintained.

Contactless payments only.

Cleaning

Continue with our already rigorous and detailed cleaning procedures.

If there is a COVID-19 case in the facility, we will follow the PHE Guidance – COVID-19 – Cleaning in non-healthcare settings while cleaning all areas of the facility.

Staff will carry out regular cleaning of high-contact touch points throughout the premises.

 Changing Rooms

Writhlington

These will remain closed due to their size and the difficulties this presents in implementing social distancing.

Midsomer Norton

These will be open for swimming activities ONLY.

Numbers will be restricted to 13 and 11 concurrent users in the female and male changing rooms respectively.

Designated changing areas will be marked in both changing rooms to ensure social distancing is maintained including 5 private cubicles in the female and 3 in the male.

Disinfectant wipes will be provided so that customers can wipe taps, handles and lockers before and after use.

To reduce time spent in changing areas, please arrive ready to swim (swimwear under clothing). Shower at home, pre and post swimming. Showers will be available, but by arriving wearing your swimwear and showering at home pre and post swimming this will help minimise time spent in the changing rooms as well as help maintain water quality.

Changing rooms will be thoroughly cleaned between sessions. As such we would ask customers to change promptly after their session.

Toilets

Entrance doors will be propped open where this doesn’t present a privacy issue.

Additional social distancing signage will be erected.

Staff will complete hourly checks to ensure soap is replenished and cubicle door handles and sinks are cleaned.
